When Is Too Early To Learn The Levels Of Web Design?

Posted on Friday 5 December 2008

When the web first came out you pretty much had to be a bit older to learn how to write a website, as there were no automated website builders back then. Today you can start as early as you can comprehend directions or figure out and memorize what buttons do.

Most new Web design editors are intuitive, you just click the picture icon to add a picture and put the cursor where you want the picture to be.

It’s very easy and an adult showing a 6 year old the steps could teach them to master it in a day, although creating high tech pages will take time, but building a very simple page can be done with incredible ease!

Most things in life have multiple layers to them requiring multiple levels of experience to navigate and even creatively use them. Take web design for instance. When building a website you can build a simple site, we all know there are great editors out there that a kindergartner could use with success, but we also know there are some much more complex versions of website design that require much more skill, even though part of it is automated.

Flash is one such concept, Java Script is another. The beauty of it however is that one prepares you for the other. Once you’ve acquired the skill set for using a web editor your next move is to learn html, mainly because you may need to edit the code time to time because the editor is not error proof, nothing is.

Once you master these then Java Script starts to look interesting offering you much more control and many more amazing options to your website design platform!
